It seems to me that the attack on
Public education
Is an attack on democracy
A private
Corporate model
Pads the pockets of politicians
And their profiteering friends
While buildings long in need of repair
Begin to crumble
While students are pigeonholed into socio-economic niches
While faculty becomes staff
While leaders (modern potentates?)
Create chaos from the top down
While elected officials are proud that they do not raise taxes
Citizens evade responsible citizenship by stating:
“well, what can you do?”
