Verão a noite

Night
has fallen
like ripe figs
here no wasps
among the twigs
no bite
no pain
in cooling air
only autumn leaves
in late summer’s care
here to the trees
they still cling
since autumn breezes
have yet to sing
where schools
and fish to swarm
begin
sweet melody
in symphony
beats
within
