In Arizona
Science and education are taking a hit
again
Evolution
Ah, Evolution and climate change

Young earth creationists shake their heads
Enlightenment loses to myths that they
Hold dear

The earth can only be as old as their bedtime stories
Science and reason complicate the delusion
This socially sanctioned delusion provides a weapon for those in power

They muddy the waters with their divining rod
Striking a geyser of ignorance and its accompanying bliss
The tree of knowledge is forbidden

Only they know the truth
They have made major strides in moving backward from Eden

Nature and all it entails
Is a gossamer veil
Fold it back gently and you too will see the face…

“Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.”
