trust, have faith, believe

a little girl
in pennsylvania
had pneumonia

antibiotics
medicine
science
could have saved her

but

her parents
her grandparents
her loving family
believed every word of what they learned
in sunday school

trust in god
have faith
believe

sadly

she died
so others could hold on to
a myth
a story
a socially sanctioned delusion

antibiotics
medicine
science

trust
have faith
believe…
