The Revolution

The wind blows everywhere
and the sun shines everywhere;
and the conversion to green
and renewable energy sources

Will make obsolete
the global and hierarchical
corporations and banks and armies
and political empires

That extract and refine
and transport and finance
and conquer and occupy and protect
the world’s fossil fuel deposits

And leave the holy institutions
who have countenanced and blessed
and preached obedience to the enterprise
without an occupation too.
