One for the Amish

The Amish
aren’t so crazy
when gas goes to $4 a gallon
they don’t have a problem

Their barns are always
big, prosperous looking affairs
and their horses can pull a semi rig
out of the ditch

They don’t build palaces
for priests to swing censers in
but gather in each other’s homes
to honor their Maker

They mind their own business
and don’t send their sons to fight
in the wars of “the English”
Good for them.
