Cat and Mouse Game

does it matter
what the caste is
does a junkie need it
you or me, up goes the ladder
down goes the spine, body and
all. someone commits suicide
and you say it is a somersault, playing little
nice games you say.
so if there was a mass suicide, no I am not
talking about farmers only, boys and girls,
researchers, students, teachers because they have assailed a high priest
(politics, caste, religion)
then how many times will we let the mouse loose
so that the cat can play the music and watch
somersaults?
• Reactions to the suicide of a Dalit student, and the very tragic drama after it. The Dalits are the ‘lower castes’ in India.
