Jobs: Go to Asia!

That’s Tom Brokaw’s advice to college grads…

And he’s right. That’s where our jobs have been sent by our politicians.

If you are in the process of finding work, ask: will my favored job be outsourced to India, China or some other country?

If the answer is yes, pick another job or learn their language!

Why is it this way?

Because our politicians manipulated the laws to permit corporations to send their lower level jobs to other countries without penalty. Now even white-collar jobs are leaving the country. They wrote the laws (Clinton’s NAFTA, Bush’s CAFTA, Truman’s GATT which is now the WTO) to benefit their corporate contributors and even gave some of the companies taxpayer-funded subsidies in the process.

Political corruption IS THE NUMBER ONE ISSUE, because it affects every issue out there! Not just jobs!

It’s simple. The politicians are paid via campaign contributions to do what they do. Unfortunately, they are paid to screw the public in favor of the corporations, and they do it well. For you newcomers to the political world, that’s graft… payola… bribes. How is it going so far?

Unintended consequences (some of the time) by the politicians but clearly intended consequences by the bribers (all of the time). They don’t pay out money unless they get something in return. Corporate labor costs went from $15-20 per hour down to $1-2 and their profits soared. Executive salaries went up, and so did the politician’s piece of the action.

We call that a win-win-lose, and you’re in the latter category.

Indeed we should be deeply concerned with issues like bullying children in schools and the privatizing of our drinking and farming water supply. But shouldn’t we also be concerned about how the Fat Cats walk all over the population as a whole, and steal their wealth for their personal gain? Have we no common sense?

We don’t need more stimuli, we need our jobs returned from overseas. But that isn’t going to happen under the current moneyed political system. Until we fix the politicians, any new “stimulus” should be a gigantic public works project; quit sending unemployment checks and instead put these people to work at minimum wage, doing useful things to build our infrastructure. Building roads, sweeping sidewalks, whatever. But not sitting home watching TV.

And to my Conservative friends…

Is this country really heading in the direction you favor? I think it’s going down the tubes and it wouldn’t be if our politicians were working for us instead of them. Follow the dominoes. Where will your children and grandchildren work if the corporate CEOs get their way?

It ceases to be a “free market” when that market is torpedoed by cash bribes to politicians. Corporate money has purchased our Democracy; public funding of campaigns will buy it back.

Two years of zero cost-of-living increases means that Social Security is being cut by an amount equal to that COL rate. Do they prefer that we call it food stamps instead? And they want seniors to work longer even when there are no jobs?

    Jack Lohman writes …

And he’s right. That’s where our jobs have been sent by our politicians.

This is where Mr. Lohman errs. Firstly they were NOT “our” jobs. These jobs are the property of Capitalists. Secondly, the politicians are not “our” politicians. They are bought and paid for by two powerful groups — Zionists and Capitalists.

Mr. Lohman believes that “we” have access to the means of production when the only things that we are PERMITTED to access is starvation and debt. The lack of property (means of production) is why “we” must beg Capitalists for “jobs”.

What Brokaw is actually saying is that he has NO suggestions on how to subvert Capitalism. You can just go to Asia or STARVE.

Zionists? The Jews are coming? And hell, I’m for “regulated” capitalism, but I don’t own a piece of congress.

And you are wrong. The politicians ARE ours, at least according to the constitution. Problem is, they take bribes from the corporations.
