Addicted to the taste
Addicted to the flavor
Addicted to the high
and how it gets you there

You burnt down the temple
You lit up the fields
You kissed the chaos
as it taught you about the war

Have you ever witnessed a cookie crumble?

The earth was once a paradise of sugar
but now it is cracks and dirt and dust and shame
