The Rebel

On the wake of corruption,
When man becomes animal again,
And saviour becomes the killer,
Then poet becomes a rebel;

And his poetry declares the mutiny with……

Oozing pain in each word,
Bursting rage in each line,
Intensifying protest in each verse,
Bleeding heart in each stanza,
Murmuring soul in each poem;

With an aim to knock sensible hearts
By throwing arrows of scream,
Wrapped in sharp words;
To ignite other rebellious spirits,
In an endeavour to transform the spark of revolt
Into a huge fire of revolution.
