The Postmodern Solution

If poverty is a problem
make it a crime to be poor
put away in solitary anyone
doesn’t have a bank account.

If hunger is a problem
set up a sting operation
and if the mark goes for a sandwich
snap the cuffs on him.

If disease is a problem
arrest people who see a doctor
or try to get into a hospital
and take away their medications.

If unemployment is a problem
send out the SWAT team ninjas
to break down the door of the jobless
and do a warrantless search.
