None of us understand why you must share
Your worthless stories, your constant whining,
Meaningless news from a place that’s nowhere.
Sure, if your girls get raped, we know you care,
But why are you constantly repainting?
None of us understand why you must share
Details of tortures they are forced to bear.
It does no good to keep underlining
Meaningless news from a place that’s nowhere.
Sure, we get it. It must cause quite a scare
When it’s your lives that they are consigning.
None of us understand why you must share
With people who, as you must be aware,
Have no interest—no none—in divining
Meaningless news from a place that’s nowhere.
Just know we don’t care about your welfare.
Our ease you will not be undermining.

Marco Katz Montiel composes poetry and prose in Spanish, English, and musical notes. He went to college late, and then alienated one university by publishing about bigotry on campus and got kicked to the curb by two others for his union activities.
