Two Notes on a Summer’s Day

(Inside)

There are new windows to look out from
you know.

Their scenes don’t look familiar
but I promise they’re as real as your reality.
It depends on the quality of your eyes
and which side of the window you’re on.

(Outside)

We are dwarfs, and the giants
are standing on our shoulders.
A human ladder, reaching a sky
only they can see.
