Cultural Revolutions Tend to Wind up Where They Started

All of the old, tired slogans
spawned by corrupted
social campaigns
(wolves dressed as sheep)
suddenly fade
with a whimper
(perish the thoughts)
after they’ve been
run through the wringer
for a cycle
on high pressure
(put the heat on ‘em)
and exposed as cultish

Partly because
they were represented
by bad ideas
(and big wig bozos)
to begin with

but mostly the process
of ideological disintegration
involves the populace
becoming impatient
with being fed
circus crumbs

and eventually
rising anew
to cease
cretinous swine

(who shovel
nothing but shit
from their wretched troughs
down the peoples’ throats)

from being able
to continue practicing
such filthy habits
any longer
