The Kiss
by Scott Thomas Outlar / December 25th, 2022
A marigold halo
reflects marmalade rays
of holy light
over a cosmic nest
entangled with bronze hair
and silver stars
while whispering
the breath of a kiss
soft as a sigh
upon a silken cheek
that never designs to flinch
in the embrace of desire
Manifold jewels
dangling from the net
of Indra’s dream
spiral outward
in the form
of divinely spun
fabrics blessed
by burnt umber
and raw sienna
Barefoot in the flowery fields of God –
a bouquet of indigo roses
sewn close to heart
Yin/Yang bed of angelic lovers –
toes bent with the creases of karma
send kundalini shivers across the spine
