A fable of fluid/fractal becomings

I don’t want to know
the world underneath
the teeming city of crawling, oozing
tentacular beings
that you call “truth”.
Forgoing depth
conscientiously objecting
to drilling down
and down
I buckle my shoes
cover my basket
and skip across the surface
