The Next Time I Die
by Paul Tristram / November 6th, 2022
… I’m leaving no Mourners…
Annwn Bound for a spell
… count my Mistakes made
and Lessons learnt…
each ‘Opportunity’ missed
will be dissected and tattoo
-mapped upon my Memory
ready for the next Incarnation.
I have lived by Experience
and Evolving… not Hiding
in Safety and settled Routine.
I Broke ‘Laws’ and ‘Hearts’
… including my very own…
I reached, strived and climbed
… I let no one nor nothing
stop me or hold me back…
I Conquered every ‘Fear’
and ‘But, What If?’…
that strayed across my Path.
I’ll shake off old man Death
like a coat no longer needed…
and stride the Summerland
with a smile upon my chops…
searching for [Familiar] Faces.
