Leading to misery

(A new presidential anthem)

Leading to misery*
the young and fine Macron
Went to pray for money
to serve his grandes patrons.
Make it so, with your largesse
He said while leaving home
I, the most corrupt will serve
true vassal to those rich unknown.

He takes a cheque
from an offshore bank
to fund his grand campaign
for the baron, his lord and master,
Yet he may not say his name,
But „health“ he cried
While others died
Since wealth rewards deceit.

* Partant pour la Syrie, the hymn of the Second French Empire. Like his ignominious forbear, the current president of the French would lead his country‘s demise.
