Songs withdrawn

Less the longest shadow cast
Songs withdrawn through broken glass
Steps by angels gently taken
No distant bees dare awaken
Before all the toes in forests hung
From branches whence morning dew is wrung
Remove their socks or sandals plain
And spring to earth
Then we feel rain.
