The Racket / Big Jimmy

1       The Racket

Should you   as an ostensibly sovereign state
       pursue policies
       designed to retain  or reclaim your autonomy

by refusing to knuckle under;
by denying the empire of lies  its highly-prized
                            off-the-record license to plunder

       expect to soon   cross the death-strewn path
              of the global robothug's implacable wrath


should you choose to refuse  to value protection
by neglecting to pay the type of life-or-death dues
that while widely implied  seldom get mentioned.


2       Big Jimmy

The agency's unspoken goals
being the keeping of people from having a say
— unless what they say is what it wants said —

and the execution of coups against those
                     it assumes have wandered astray;
against those  who've let power-to-the-plebs
and other such unruly views
                                   take root in their heads;

its business  being the toppling of obstacles
— including  the erasure of nations' borders —
       for corporate interests on Langley's orders


the agency deals with problem regimes
and their impudent schemes of resistance
                                          to imperial dominion

by plying its trade   creating pliant client states
       by following the following dog-eared script:


If our initial proposals
fall short  of performing the popular trick
as certain targets  take a pass on our bribes

pivot swiftly to quietly trying
to pull enough strings to have them imprisoned
by fixing  their often riggable  juridical systems.

Should our frame-ups fail to unfold as envisioned
warn them  their commerce may be thwarted.

If for some reason  these warnings are ignored
collapse their currency  and trade by applying
the brutally punitive measures we'd threatened.

Should these in turn prove ineffectual
issue  aggressively credible threats of lethality

              to the bribe-declining high-level lives
                     we'd rung up on day one
                            with offers of fabulous charity.

If that doesn't get us to where things need to go
summon the squads   to lay these ingrates low.


Now if the vilification we've engaged in
from the moment our overtures were spurned
                            gets less than optimal traction

and our lawfaring actions
financial strangulation operations
                                   threats and assassins

       fail to pry open
       some obstinate sovereign's gates

       call in the military to wield its big jimmy.


NOTE:   Should urgency so necessitate
                never hesitate  in abridging the script
                by jumping audaciously straight
                to pulling the trigger on arranging a hit.

Moreover
should your tastes  run more towards a modern
                     crowd-friendly outsourced approach

feel free to skip the script
       and trust the playbook employed
