Ramifications

So has our nation
Become so polarized,
Fractured, splintered
Beyond repair? Have

We lost all sense of
Decency in humanity
As we stumble down
The proverbial stairs?

Have we finally given
Up on democracy in
Favor of authoritarian
Rule by a fool and his

Insecurities which will
Kill us all if allowed to
Grow; as a cancer that
Must be eradicated to

Insure the survival of
All. We need to think
Long and hard at the
Ramifications before

We let this nation fall.
