May Waltz
by Faye Sarras and T P Wilkinson / May 8th, 2022
Music of the night
rises and falls.
All her life
whispered this clumsy woman
dreams within a crystal mind.
Time’s curtains open
for fleeting spring,
wordless, silent
as she ascends
the steps; the dance
where no one is abandoned
where no one departs
where growing
is also growing old.
