Jackal Blood

The more you tongue the wound
deeper of void becomes the abyss
and you are caught in routines
of habit and consciousness
that are not conducive
to the growth of your spirit
as an actualized human vessel
so wipe the dust from rusty cobwebs
that old hat hymn of sorrow
no longer serves you
