Caw the Doctor
by Scott Thomas Outlar / December 5th, 2021
A glass of water for a headache
an apple for depression
a nap for existential dread
a coma for salvation
a noose for El’s latest plague
Get your prescription filled
in a vial or a needle
or a pill jar or a coffin
Line up in single file
with the sheepfold
and lose your Self around the bends
Vodka in the cupboards
cheese stuffed in the fridge
dopamine shoved on socials
it’s the modern age of meds
