straight to the top

soft opalescent clouds
fly, floating canopies
dropping cool air on dark skin
bubbles of fluffy smiles
as the blooming sounds
of the rainbow tickle
at ears once closed
deaf, now alive
silky notes of colors gleaming
full, the circle shining
at the Ferris wheel’s apex
past and that ahead play out below
in Stradivarian sounds streaming
rays of sunbeams heal
and moonbeams nourish
the spinning top
has stopped
