On Human Terms

We hit the road
At sunrise
Before the dust
Began to stir
Needing change
And the feeling
Of being in motion
To the wild music
Of wandering
Over long stretches
Of love and loss
Through war and conflict
On human terms
And a life
In between knowing
On a quest
For forgotten spirit
And standing up
For what’s right
