Halloween and Samhain Dreams

The crimson sky
Seen through the
Waning density of the woods
Invites thoughts about autumn leaves
Halloween and
Samhain dreams about
Walks taken in Lakewood
With erie in sight
With erin in my ancestral memory
The gossamer veil separating
Reality and imagination
Pulled back
Reveals faces known
Faces unknown
Recent faces
Long ago faces
Faces before time
Millions of years
Thousands of years
Hundreds of years
Decades ago
Yesterday
The face of my beloved stands out among all others
Our existence
Intertwined
Like a gibran sketch
Together we soar
Upward …
When I awake
Thankful for another day of loving
I am alone
