Seas Dividing

Fish avoid getting wet

Can we just be expressive
without the feeling to be excessive
to take the breeze, tears and sweat
from our brows dripping,
like joy we met
in early yearning
even while our soul is burning
beneath a scorching sun?
Colours through weary eyelids glow
Anxiety melts unfallen snow
Beneath a silent moon
Kids dance with sheep in trance
while fish avoid getting wet
by simply swimming as they please.
