Fingertips of summer

Below the soap-sprayed blossoms
in the scent of subtle hair
wait two feet patiently
for two more to share fresh air.
Above the smiling seeds
awaking from their beds
the light and droplets fall
to soothe their stretching heads.
Between the toes of spring
and the fingertips of summer
when legs and arms
the days embrace
leave sorrow’s leaves
without a trace.
