The Starship Enterprise is bringing vaccines
to pandemic-stricken Unbespoke,
a planet which has resisted
incorporation into the Federation.
Unbespoke has dilithium crystal mines,
which is why the Federation
intends to block the planet from any dealings
with the Klingons, Romulans, or Tholians,
all three of whom also have vaccines for Unbespoke.
The Federation is constrained by internal power struggles,
so the only vaccines it will send are two
made by Earth and Vulcan, called
Hayek and Logique, respectively.
Both vaccines use experimental, untried technology,
and they deteriorate at higher warp speeds.
Not so the Klingon, Romulan and Tholian vaccines.
Made with traditional methods, these vaccines
are unaffected by high speed space travel.
The Klingon vaccine is named Little Moon 5;
the Romulan is Jade Rabbit 3; the Tholian, Grandma 2.
Why, you ask, are they eager to aid the Unbespokians?
No, it’s not the dilithium crystal mines.
Contrary to the nasty things the Federation says about them,
the Klingons, Romulans and Tholians only want peace. They believe
political power should be dispersed in a multi-galactic universe.
And they just want to help.
It’s something in their alien DNA.
