Unpaid bills

(from Covid Carols for Christmas)

All I want for Christmas

Unpaid bills, unpaid bills
Never more to pay
Isolated, bankrupt, dead,
a banker’s holiday.

Huddling in my room
masked both night and day
Friends and family gone,
All at home they say.

(Chorus) Unpaid bills etc.

Cops and clergy sing
Filling us with fright
Ministers on TV screens
lie by day and night.

A day or two ago
The story I must tell,
I only had a cold
Now I live in hell.

A guy was riding by
a woman at his side,
made me take a shot,
content they did hide.

Now we all are broke
Nothing left beside
Harassed by the “woke”
Taken for a ride.
