Narcotic Revelations (Past Life Decadent)

… it was like that evening
at a ‘Wine & Speed’ party
… when I was busy arguing
with both a Pimp and a Dealer
about the folklore of
the Lithuanian cheese ‘Džiugas’
… and the seemingly obvious
pattern of severe toothache,
as a temporary ‘Karmic
Punishment’, for the
cowardly and unadventurous.
When, through a cloud of
Pembrokeshire hashish smoke
I glanced at the black & white
movie projected onto the wall
(Unheimliche Geschichten),
and caught those three seconds
of Anita Berber
as she arm-wriggles in dance
… “I fucking know her!”
I yelled…
(emotionally feeling my way)
“Only, it wasn’t in this Life.”
An ‘Image’, a ‘Tune’, a ‘Word’
… They’re Doorways,
and some ‘Memory Corridors’
are Portals back further
than your last Welcome Mat in.
