How I knew I was mostly OK
by Matthew Borczon / August 16th, 2020
Was because
I didn’t
have a
specific
plan to
kill myself
my fantasy
wasn’t about
blood it
was just
the moment
when the
helicopter blades
stopped turning
the wound
vacs stopped
humming the
children stopped
crying
it was
like the
moment
all the
birds
stop chirping
just before
the hurricane
begins.
