PISS: Post Impeachment Stress Syndrome

I got it real bad
Nausea, dizziness, heart
Palpitations and disorientation.
It started when the defense
Insisted Trump “did nothing wrong.”
It got worse when Adam Schiff,
Impeachment Manager, declared
Aid to Ukraine will save us from
“Fighting the Russians over here.”
I understood then the cast of this
Television special consisted of
Self-absorbed lunatics and
Befuddled power brokers, that
Our political institutions need
To be declared mental ones
For the seriously unstable and
Delusional, guarded and locked
Down, with everyone entering or
Leaving to be checked for symptoms
In DSM-5, Diagnostic and Statistical
Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition,
And the seat of government be moved
To Wichita Kansas, where an emergency
Call about Iran’s test of a new drone one
Summer evening would be answered with
“Call me tomorrow morning, it’s Andy
Griffith time on the TV now.”
And that’s how it might be, tomorrow.
