Gog and Magog: After the Last Battle

And then the moons fell, as the demons flooded the ancient sky above,
Blotting out the cryptic sun like bats – all laws were broken – the mind thus spent;

And two evil angels looked out upon the precipice,
The first was called WASP Right; the other, Liberal Treachery.

And the land of unwound clocks did wither, while sacred texts did blacken
And homeless waifs did plead; and they took pride in their villainy,

Locked beneath a diluvian realm thus shattered, they stood upon time’s
Broken arrow and watched as the towers of Troy did fall;

And the sands of fate stood bereft upon the gloaming,
And the primordial firmament wept blood incarnadine;

While a land that had once known reason was engulfed in perfidy,
Enslaved by amnesia, born of an apathy soon forgot,

Of a blindness hour – a thousand years in the hourglass,
As the terrors of the Antichrist hovered ineluctably;

Dreams that littered the ground like broken glass, whose flowers
Had wept upon the earth like dying weeds – yet they knew not;

And the vanquished were engulfed in a sea of merciless fire,
And the prophets mourned again for just one last time.
