… By Your Fireside

You yawn, contentedly,
and streeeetttccccch…
seizing the opportunity,
I slide straight-on-in,
jigsaw piece-like,
behind the brickwork
of your everyday battlements.
Throb, Pulse, and Tingle
… there’s a GLOW,
which is warmer and brighter
than the flickering flames
dancing before us.
It’s Magical, Miraculous even
… I ponder for a moment,
the strange mathematics
of this euphoric connection.
And realize, happily,
that it’s simply
the fantastic combination
of both You and Me…
with nothing in-between Us.
