Unnecessary Roughness

I had a dream
Where Earth was a kind and
Loving planet of peace
Everyone/thing valued as equals
Love ran free like
Wild horses in the Meadow of love
Daily news reported random
Acts of kindness the world over
Peace broke out everywhere
UN sponsored programs of peace
Rebuilding villages, basic needs met
As a universal right
Women, children, Elders, are
Respected and cherished
No more “boots” on the ground, instead
Sandals on the Earth…
Tourism not terrorism
Citizens explore their planet as a right!
Conflicts resolved peacefully
Trillions spent on revitalization
Of the planet and its people
Everyone reaches self-actualization
Dreams become realities
No need for weapons of destruction
All countries working in harmony
Rebuilding Mother Earth, as Earthlings
No racism, greed, hate or poverty
A planet of peace, not pain
Imagine the possibilities, if only we would try!
Politicians never lied, fossil fuels obsolete,
Restoring the planet as it was
When first inherited it, no citizen left behind
Waging peace and restoring the planet
Bringing back creatures gone extinct, ensuring
This never happens again…
A simpler life based on one’s need, not
The global elite’s greed!
No more narcissists, lies, deceit, evil,
Climate deniers or alternative facts…just the truth!
And then, I awoke, and did not want to get out of bed
I wondered how we got this far off the mark?
I sensed a mighty change this way comes
Led by an army of children, there now lies HOPE!
