Blow In This Bag… Yeah, Bite Me!

I can understand the mad logic
of the three black and white
television sets constantly tuned to
BBC 1, BBC 2, and ITV…
but, how did he choose BBC 2
for the fourth colour television?
If his argument being that all
channels running simultaneously
were to stop friends arguing…
then he should have avoided
the fourth set completely…
surely someone would have wanted
to watch ITV or BBC 1 in colour
just to be awkward, and cause trouble.
Although his ‘Cat’s Eye’ invention
was fantastic, the later addition
of a ‘Rainwater Reservoir’,
tipped the scales into sheer Genius.
Roofing his yard, and leaving a hole,
so a tree could grow up through it…
made me admire him far more
as a human being than an Inventor
(Although I do like a bit of carpet,
meself, even if they do ‘Hold Muck’)
… and decide to write this little poem.
