Wagging Fingers in the Wrong Direction

But just as the crows peck at the morning dew,
should your eyes also be filled with tears,
they will scratch at those, too.

And if the lions roar in anger,
you will blame the sun instead.

For many truths in this world
have been hidden or buried,
yet the keys are always near at heart.

But just as the jackals laugh when well-fed,
the wolves also are crazed with hunger,
and still the hyenas shriek chaos across the land.

And if a sheep wanders astray,
you will accuse the herd instead.

Yet nowhere is it promised
that your path should be easy,
only that it will be met in equal judgment
when balanced against the effort
you put forth through the process,
and even greater measure in the end.

And that which was,
shall be again,
but that which you were
is no longer.

For the past can never be changed,
yet the future is born through new perception.
