On Horseback
by Paul Tristram / July 14th, 2019
He’s finally come ‘round
out of the coma.
Yes, that’s right,
the Anarchists
are down the other end
of the Intensive Care Ward,
they’re the one’s with Guards.
Up this part
are the Peaceful Protesters
who got damaged
in the carnage
of the awful Full-Scale-Riot
which erupted
Wednesday afternoon just gone.
He said that the very last thing
which he remembers
was his girlfriend shouting
“Be Strong!”
and “Pacifism Is Our Way!”
Then the taste of his own blood,
mixed with the salty-sweat
of the Police Horse’s shoulder
as it SMASHED
right into his unprotected face.
