Love of perdition

the gates are closed
who has the keys
temperature rising
but not the seas
Carbon too
is used for dating
Love not lost
only cremating
elements of life
remaining
around the garden
where we must wait
while those we worship
abjectly praise
our lives and homes
with glee do raze.
