tears falling on steel
by Robert Filos / March 24th, 2019
soon the ending will be written
as dark reflections breathe their last
drops echo their metallic pounding
coursing through the weakness
left awake on this soaked pillow
dreams meld into false memories
shattered by blue nocturnal musings
in this crowded mind field, loneliness
deafening lightning scrapes steel bars
lost vision plays its colors among tears
