Phantom Pain

All those limbs
or lines are missing
cut by scalpels
knives or cruelty
where they lie
in truth denied
in bins sanitary
on fields sanguinary
felt the pain
among ghosts
and spirits
the loss unseen
hanging words
from tongues
unsaid
meandering
feet and hands
searching
for their dead.
