gravity and grief

is there a relationship
between gravity and grief

thoughts of you
motivate me to be
cause me to smile

but the weight
of it all
the gravity of the circumstance
slows me down
weighs me down
while i try to move through the day

like the waves near the shore
slows my ambulation
it rolls over me
as i am caught off guard
and lose my footing

tiny droplets
remnants of a never ending love
sometimes silently
as i contemplate
the relationship
between gravity
and grief
