Apathyville

Each and every car slides
firmly randomly chaotically
into the stockpile ditch
of exhaust and glass
burnt rubber and jagged rain
upon human flesh.
The clusterfuck of twisted metal
has various
humans emerging from the chaos
like they
want help or something.

Us onlookers say: “We’re
Americans! We’re too patriotic to give
out charity. Those people need to pick themselves
up by their bootstraps and help themselves for a change!”
