Smoke signals

not too far
from the blades
of grass
in the orchard
of desire
beat the wings
stroke the strings
in gently burning
crackling, turning
moments whispering
In ascending smoke
each tender stroke
a message wrote
with Venus’
Carried clearly
beyond the trees
Saying what only
lovers see
by intuition.
