Surface sealants

(Solemn passion present)

in the putrid ponds of piety
statesmen (and women) like leeches
swim
yet they for terrestrial bipeds
no medicinal virtue
lend
green the luscious lily lies
beneath magnolia’s fragrance blossomed
limb
but these infested swamps to drain
need pumps and pipes in hell
to end.
