Hiding in plain sight
Sitting in a pew near you
Becoming ministers of God
Infiltration
Religion by stealth
Twisting sacred words
Written long ago, about
Peace and love
For our fellow man
A metamorphous has evolved
Where one is allowed
To bring their AK 47 to church
To receive a blessing, and
Hear sermons of hate mongering
Against the “others”
Hate thy neighbor,
If he is different then us
Shoot unarmed black men
Support the NRA and
Donald Trump
As they round-up children and
Deport them who knows where
Ethnic cleansing has begun
“Where are your papers”?
Abolishing freedom of the press
Denouncing their opponents
Killing children in school and
Mass shootings in public
White supremacists and Nazi’s
March on your good streets
Dog whistled by the commander and thief
All supported by evangelicals
“Beware of false prophets”
“Many shall come in my name, but
I know them not.”
Shades of Auschwitz USA, can be felt
“Suffer not the children.”
For they are leading the fight for justice
In the good old US of A!
After all is said and done,
“The truth will set us free.” Hold the line!
