Realms of the (Un)known
by Scott Thomas Outlar / June 11th, 2017
The beautiful allure
of exhaustion
lulls me
into its open arms,
and I collapse,
wantonly,
to be held against its chest
for a period of rest
that has been needed
for longer
than I ever knew
how to handle.
Deeper, still,
into its dark waters,
forgetting
any desire to float,
sinking
into the vastness
of a void
that has always
known me
better than I
ever could myself.
