New Beginnings

Let go of hatred and fear
As the oak lets fall its leaves
To the brisk autumn winds

Stand tall and firm against your tormentors
Not with anger and hate
But with love and dignity

For like the snow and bitter north wind
They will subside
Before the warmth of spring

Hold fast
But with peace in your heart
And new buds will blossom once more.
